National Italian Owl and Figurita Club

Constitution By-Laws

Section 1. This organization shall be known as The National Italian Owl and Figurita Club.

Article II - Object

Section 2. The object of this club shall be:

(a) To encourage the breeding and exhibiting of the Italian Owls and Figurita Pigeons. To foster friendliness and good fellowship between fellow members and other breeders. To supply helpful information through printed literature and otherwise to assist in the future development and popularity of the breed.

(b) To maintain and periodically revise the Standard of the Breed recognized by the National Italian Owl and Figurita Club; this Standard to be the guide and authority in determining the standard qualities of the Italian Owl and Figurita Pigeons and the placing of awards in the show room. The picture Standard is to be open for revision every five (5) years, the written Standard to be open for revision at least every ten (10) years.

(c) To sponsor one National show each year in connection with the annual club meeting; one young bird show held in Louisville, KY. With the National Young Bird Show.

Article III - Membership

Section 3. Membership shall be as follows:

(a) Individual Member: Any person of good character, regardless of race, color or creed, who is interested in the breeding of the Italian owl and Figurita Pigeons is eligible to membership and may become a member upon payment of the prescribed fee and agreeing to this Constitution and By-Laws.

(b) Membership Fee: The membership for any individual member who is 18 years of age or older shall be $15.00. Any individual member who is under 18 years of age shall be $5.00 and designated as a Junior Member. There shall be a fee of $20.00 for a Club Member and Family. Said spouse shall have the right to participate in all meetings and discussions, but shall not have the right to vote on By-Laws Constitution changes, Election of Officers or changes in the Standard. This membership is designated as a Family membership. Junior members have the sale privileges as other individual members. The membership fee includes all dues to the following January 1^st.The annual dues become due and payable on January ^2nd of each year, and must be paid before the following March 1^st,or membership automatically ceases. Members in arrears for dues shall not be entitled to vote nor receive bulletins or any other prizes offered by the National Italian Owl and Figuritas Club for its members. Any dues received on October 1stor after will be considered dues for the following year unless the member paying the dues prefers to have these dues apply for the current year only.

(c) Reinstatement: Any member having been dropped from the membership for non- payment of dues may upon application to the Secretary, be reinstated upon payment of the annual dues for the current year.

(d) Voting Privileges: Each member in good standing is entitled to one vote in all club matters requiring a vote.

Article IV - Annual Meeting and Shows

Section 4. Approved Meets:

(a) Annual Meets: The club shall meet twice each year. Once at the annual show to be held with the Grand National Pigeon Association Show. The date and time of meeting to be set by the Board of Directors. Again at the National Young Bird Show to be held in Louisville, KY. The date and time of the meeting is to be set by the Board of Directors. A “called" meeting may be held after written notice to the membership at least thirty (30) days prior to said meeting. Only the Executive Committee may request a "Called Meeting."
